Michelle Geary

Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Michelle Geary, a florist and metalsmith and an authentic inspiring woman coming to you all the way from Canada.

⍙ What does being an Awakened Creatress mean to you?

Being a strong woman on a mission to create the best life she can, an inspirational force that beckons to other women to rise and empower each other. A woman who takes responsibility for the creation of her reality with tenacity. A women who looks fear in the face and follows her heart anyway.

⍙ How did you get where you are today?

I closed my eyes and jumped. Since I was a little girl I’ve held this dream of having a flower shop full of pretty things. Until the Summer of 2016 it was one of those dreams that I thought of as “maybe some day” or “wouldn’t it be nice if”… and then the opportunity arose to open my own shop. Instead of feeding the voices in my head that came from a place of fear I chose to trust and surrender to the belief that everything happens for a reason.

⍙ Was there a turning point in your journey?

Most definitely. The end of a toxic relationship was the new beginning I needed to take back the reigns of my life and begin to make decisions and choices that fed my soul.

⍙ What had been your ambitions & dreams growing up?

As a little girl I was always very creative and my family supported that quality. I knew I wanted to be an artist, I just wasn’t sure how that would manifest itself.

⍙ Has there been a defining moment in your life that has made you who you are?

Has there been a defining moment in your life that has made you who you are?
At the risk of sounding ostentatious, my entire life has defined me and has grown me into who I am today – and it continues on in each moment.

⍙ What were you like at school?

I was an outsider… and that’s that.

⍙ What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

Many years ago a very dear friend of mine shared “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz with me. Life changing.

⍙ What do you do day-to-day?

The usual stuff that women do. I am a mom and live on my own with my son. I have my own business that I open Monday to Saturday. Regular people stuff.

⍙ What does your daily job entail?

My business is a little flower shop with a focus on natural lifestyle. There’s a cooler full of flowers to design with as well as aromatherapy, candles, crystals, plants, incense, smudge. All that good stuff. I’m on my own in the shop most days as I don’t have any regular employees… so I do all of the things. Take calls, orders, clean, design, organize, paperwork, ordering, etc.

⍙ What’s your favourite thing about doing what you do?

Being a part of the joy that accompanies receiving flowers.

⍙ What is your business about?

Sharing love. Being love. Uplifting people. Supporting each other. Living with an open heart.

⍙ Where do you find your confidence?

In knowing that my motivation as I move through life is to lift people up.

⍙ Is there someone in particular who has inspired you?

All of the strong, wise women who have crossed my path in this lifetime in one form or another.

⍙ What advice would you give to your teenage self?

What other people think of you is not your concern – how YOU feel about you is.

⍙ Is your teenage self could see you now what would she think?

She might want to grow up even faster.

⍙ What is the biggest risk you’ve taken?

Definitely taking the leap to open Wild Soul Studio, my shop.

⍙ What do you still want to achieve?

Oh there is so much, for now I will focus on giving each new day the very best version of myself that I can and see what life brings to me.

⍙ What advice would you give to aspiring creatresses?

Trust and surrender. You are more powerful than you know.
